What You'll Do:
At Criteo, we're seeking a dynamic Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team. You'll play a pivotal role in crafting cutting-edge tools and platforms that facilitate the analysis, exploration, and seamless sharing of data both within and beyond our organization. As an integral part of a high-performing team, you'll be at the forefront of managing critical distributed systems, handling substantial data volumes accessed by a wide-ranging clientele. Spearhead the creation of a new, scalable real-time analytics platform in collaboration with our growing team
Drive the testing, deployment, and upkeep of advanced analytic platforms
Take charge of our analytics infrastructure, which includes managing Vertica, Presto, Druid, and Tableau
Construct an end-to-end automation stack utilizing leading technologies such as Chef, Mesos, and Kubernetes
Develop management and monitoring tools, primarily in Scala
Who You Are:
Demonstrable experience with analytical databases, database design, and query optimization is advantageous
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, particularly Ruby or Python
Robust knowledge of statically compiled languages, with a preference for those on the JVM (Scala, Java)
Diligent in automating and thoroughly documenting processes and systems to enhance daily operations and streamline the onboarding process for new team members and users
Exposure to container technologies is a plus (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong comprehension of managing and serving substantial data volumes in a highly concurrent environment
Sound understanding of the UNIX development environment
A self-motivated, highly skilled engineer unafraid to tackle complex challenges and driven to streamline mundane tasks through automation
An exceptional communicator, both orally and in written form, passionate about collaborating with fellow engineers to ensure smooth utilization of your systems and incorporation of their feedback in future iterations
Ready and willing to participate in an on-call rotation, providing support for your team's systems
