Growth and Connection: My Journey at Criteo so far

Posted by Criteo |

For Stefanos, an intern in Criteo’s Paris office, joining Criteo Campus was more than just a step forward—it was a chance to develop new skills, connect with a global community, and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. In this interview, he shares insights from his journey.

Tell us a bit about your background before joining Criteo.

Before joining Criteo, I was a master's student studying International Project Management at the University of Strasbourg in France. My background is a mix of Economics, Management, and Modern Languages. I’ve always been drawn to opportunities that combine creativity with structure, and over the years, I’ve had some pretty diverse experiences.

My previous internships ranged from digital marketing to sales operations, blending creativity with structure. When I discovered Criteo, it felt like the perfect next step to deepen my project management skills in an innovative environment.

What was the onboarding experience like for you as an intern?

Honestly, the onboarding process at Criteo was great! From day one, I felt super welcome. My manager scheduled regular check-ins to make sure we were aligned on expectations and to adjust things as needed. This helped me feel like my internship wasn’t just about completing tasks but also about my growth and development.

The Buddy programme was a huge help, too. They gave me the chance to connect with colleagues and feel more integrated into the company culture. The whole experience struck a great balance between giving me guidance and trusting me with the independence to own my projects.

How has life at Criteo been? Do you feel like you’ve made connections or found a community?

Life at Criteo has been such a rewarding experience. One of the things I love most is the collaborative environment. From working on projects, to sharing a coffee break, and of course attending afterwork events (a real bonus) I’ve had tons of opportunities to connect with Criteos from all over!

I even joined the Donut program, which pairs employees for casual chats. It’s such a fun way to meet people from different teams and hear about their experiences. These little interactions have been so meaningful and have really made me feel like I’m part of something bigger.

What has been the biggest learning you’ve taken away from your experience so far?

If I had to pick one big takeaway, it’s that collaboration and planning are everything. At Criteo, I’ve worked on all kinds of projects—documenting key processes, improving planning tools, and creating reports for stakeholders. Each of these tasks taught me the importance of staying organized and communicating clearly.

I’ve also learned the power of data-driven decision-making. For example, while analyzing survey results or preparing presentations, you have to be ready to break that down into something simpler. And let’s not forget adaptability—working here has shown me how to juggle multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Where do you hope your career will take you in the future?

I’m aiming to build a career in project management where I can bring people and ideas together to create meaningful solutions. My time at Criteo has really reinforced how much I enjoy collaborating across teams, solving problems, and making decisions based on solid data.

Looking ahead, I hope to step into leadership roles in fast-paced, global environments. I’m excited about contributing to innovative projects and shaping strategies that drive growth and make a real impact. Thanks to my experience here, I feel confident about pursuing these goals and have a much clearer vision of the kind of impact I want to make in the tech world.

Has your experience at Criteo changed what you’ll look for in a future employer?

Definitely. My time at Criteo has totally raised the bar for what I’ll look for in a future employer. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to work at a company that combines global scale with a start-up’s agility. The culture here encourages experimentation and innovation, which has been so inspiring.

I’ll also be prioritizing companies that genuinely invest in their people. Opportunities to grow, take on meaningful projects, and make a tangible difference are non-negotiables for me now.

The Future is Yours.
