What You'll Do:

The UI Foundations team is responsible for the frontend platform that powers all web applications at Criteo. We build and maintain the core frameworks, design systems, and tooling that enable a consistent, scalable, and high-quality user experience across all products.

Our mission is to improve developer experience, ensure UI consistency, and enable frontend engineers across the company to build faster and better through shared libraries, standards, and tooling.

As a Frontend Platform Engineering Lead, you will lead a team of six engineers responsible for building and evolving the UI foundations used across Criteo.

You will define and drive the technical vision for frontend architecture, design systems, and developer experience at scale.

Platform Ownership & Engineering

  • Own and evolve the Criteo frontend platform (Angular SDK, Generic Shell, Design System).

  • Build and maintain reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries.

  • Ensure consistency, scalability, and performance across all frontend applications.

Technical Leadership

  • Define frontend architecture strategy and long-term technical roadmap.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to evolve and improve the design system.

  • Drive adoption of frontend standards and best practices across engineering teams.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and grow a team of 6 engineers.

  • Support career development, mentoring, and hiring.

  • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality and collaboration.

Developer Experience & Quality

  • Improve frontend developer experience across the organization.

  • Optimize web application performance, testing strategies, and scalability.

  • Stay aligned with modern frontend ecosystem evolution.

Tech Environment : TypeScript, Angular, CSS, Cypress, Playwright, Git, and related frontend tooling (with occasional C# integration).

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6+ years of experience in frontend engineering, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or people management role.

  • Strong expertise in building scalable frontend applications and reusable UI component systems.

  • Deep experience with modern frontend architecture, including component libraries, design systems, and shared UI platforms.

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Angular, HTML, and CSS.

  • Experience building and maintaining large-scale frontend codebases and improving developer experience.

  • Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and UI scalability principles.

  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, frontend testing frameworks, and modern build tooling.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers in a frontend or platform team.

  • Experience collaborating closely with UX/UI designers to build and evolve design systems.

  • Ability to define technical vision and drive adoption of frontend standards across multiple teams.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across an organization.

Nice to Have

  • Experience owning or contributing to a design system or frontend platform at scale.

  • Familiarity with monorepo architectures and large-scale frontend tooling ecosystems.

  • Experience improving developer experience (DX) for frontend engineers.

  • Exposure to performance optimization of large web applications.

  • Experience in distributed or multi-team frontend environments.
