What You'll Do:

  • This position sits within a team that is currently part of the Billing, Finance & Optimisation organisation focuses on billing‑related systems and financial data, using a tech stack centred on Python, Django, and SQL.

  • Own end-to-end technical delivery of features, ensuring quality, scalability, and timely execution

  • Lead system and feature design, making sustainable technical decisions and trade-offs

  • Act as the technical reference for the team through design and code reviews and day-to-day guidance

  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices in architecture, testing, and CI/CD

  • Oversee integrations, production performance, and resolution of complex technical issues

Who You Are:

  • Proven backend engineering experience with exposure to technical leadership or mentoring

  • Strong Python 3 skills and hands-on experience building REST APIs (Django/DRF preferred)

  • Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and performance considerations

  • Experienced with relational databases, Unix systems, and modern CI/CD practices

  • Clear communicator, quality-driven, and comfortable owning delivery and technical decisions
