What You'll Do:

As a Technical Solutions Engineer in our Retail Media Existing Business team, you will be the technical partner for a portfolio of EMEA retailers, ensuring their integrations with the Criteo Retail Media platform are robust, scalable, and delivering value over time. Example of duties:
  • Act as the technical owner for a dedicated book of retailers, building long-term relationships and understanding their technical setup as well as business priorities
  • Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot existing onsite and offsite integrations (tags, feeds, APIs, delivery templates, tracking) to ensure stability and performance
  • Translate retailer and commercial requirements into clear, feasible technical solutions and implementation plans
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues across the stack (catalog, delivery, beacons/tracking, consent, reporting), coordinating with Product, R&D, Platform Support, and other TS teams when needed
  • Proactively identify optimisation opportunities in retailer integrations (data quality, inventory, placements, workflow) that can improve outcomes for both retailers and advertisers
  • Contribute to multi-product adoption (e.g. new formats, offsite, advanced features) by clarifying technical feasibility, constraints, and rollout steps
  • Help improve our tools, documentation, and ways of working by raising bugs, suggesting enhancements, and sharing best practices with the broader TS community
  • Support knowledge-sharing within the team: document your work, contribute to internal playbooks, and occasionally lead or support trainings for peers and stakeholders
  • Use AI and internal tools to speed up troubleshooting, automate repetitive tasks, and improve how you communicate solutions and recommendations

Who You Are:

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); comfortable in client-facing and internal stakeholder conversations
  • Major merit if you are fluent in German
  • Additional merit if you are fluent in one of the following: Spanish, Italian, and/or Polish
  • Based in [or willing to relocate to] Barcelona, and eligible to work in Spain full-time with no restrictions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a technical role (Technical Account Management, Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Analytics, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of web technologies: HTTP, cookies, HTML, JavaScript; familiarity with tags, tracking, and/or APIs
  • Comfortable reading and working with data (logs, dashboards, basic SQL or similar tools is a plus) to diagnose issues and validate hypotheses
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical topics in a clear, structured way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven problem-solver who enjoys debugging, finding root causes, and proposing pragmatic solutions under time constraints
  • Collaborative team player, open to feedback, who thrives in a multicultural, cross-functional environment
  • Experience in online advertising / Retail Media / e‑Commerce is an added merit
  • You seamlessly use AI to speed up solution design, automate tasks, and enhance stakeholder interactions, and you document and share AI-driven insights with your team

We acknowledge that many candidates may not meet every single role requirement listed above. If your experience looks a little different from our requirements but you believe that you can still bring value to the role, we’d love to see your application!
