What You'll Do:
Criteo Commerce Grid is Criteo’s global SSP, harnessing commerce data to maximize media owner revenue, drive better outcomes for advertisers, and help retailers unlock the value of their shopper data. In Japan, Commerce Grid is a strategic growth pillar. We partner with publishers, retailers, agencies and DSPs to build a differentiated commerce media ecosystem across Web, App, Video and CTV.
Own and grow 3rd Party DSP sales and partnerships in Japan, with a clear, proactive pipeline.
Lead curation service sales to agencies and advertisers, turning objectives into curated deals and packages.
Operate and optimize publisher supply and PMP deals across Web/App/Video/CTV, focusing on yield and performance.
Monitor and manage traffic quality, working with internal teams on IVT, brand safety and policy topics.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues, partnering with global Product, R&D and Ops.
Act as a key Japan point of contact for APAC and global CGrid stakeholders, sharing market insights and driving new initiatives.
Who You Are:
· You bring a strong Market Creation Mindset: you see Japan as a market to create, not just capture, and are comfortable building new use cases and solutions.
· You are proactive in new business development: you design and own a pipeline with DSPs, agencies and advertisers, and you initiate proposals instead of waiting for inbound.
· You show resilience and mental toughness: you stay calm and solution‑oriented under pressure and can sustain effort over long, complex cycles.
· You have a strong achievement drive and backward‑planning approach: you work with clear KPIs, plan from the outcome back, and take ownership for impact on the CGrid business.
· You have 5+ years’ experience in Japan in one or more of: programmatic media trading, publisher monetization/SSP operations, or DSP sales/account management.
· You have deep understanding of SSP/DSP mechanics, RTB and auction logic, and hands‑on experience activating and optimizing campaigns in major DSPs.
· Strong proficiency in Amazon Ads (Amazon DSP and/or Sponsored Ads) is strongly preferred.
· You are fluent in Japanese and have business-level English (written and spoken), and you are comfortable working cross‑functionally with regional and global teams.
