What You'll Do:
As a Creative Strategist at Criteo, you will work on our most strategic accounts, helping clients unlock the full potential of their campaigns through sharper creative thinking, smarter use of data, and a full-funnel, cross-channel approach.
You will be a key partner for clients and internal stakeholders alike, translating performance signals, market insights, and business context into creative recommendations that move things forward. This is not an executional role. You are expected to challenge the status quo, bring genuine strategic value, and contribute to a team that is ambitious, international, and constantly evolving.
You will report to our Creative Strategy Team Lead and be based in our Barcelona office and will take care of:
Strategic Creative Partnerships
- Act as a trusted creative partner for a portfolio of top-tier clients, identifying opportunities to improve creative quality, unlock new formats, and support business growth
- Translate client context, performance data, and market signals into clear, actionable creative recommendations across the full funnel and all channels
- Connect creative ideas to business metrics: ROI, KPIs, and client goals, ensuring your work is both original and measurably impactful
- Support new business and agency conversations with strong creative thinking and a sharp understanding of client needs
Client Engagement and Storytelling
- Build and deliver compelling client-facing materials: demos, mockups, proposal decks, strategic presentations, and creative recommendations
- Engage directly with clients and agencies, leading conversations with confidence, simplifying complexity, and influencing decisions through clear narratives
- Build strong relationships with commercial and client stakeholders to create momentum on pitches, proactive opportunities, and strategic projects
Collaboration and Innovation
- Work closely with Commercial, Creative, Product, and other internal teams to move projects forward efficiently and at quality
- Design and run creative experiments: define hypotheses, test formats, and turn results into concrete follow-up actions
- Stay ahead of cultural shifts, emerging formats, competitor trends, and evolving consumer behaviors to consistently bring fresh perspectives
- Leverage AI tools actively and creatively in your daily work; bringing new ideas and working methods enabled by AI is a genuine differentiator we are looking for in this role
Who You Are:
- Around 5 years of experience in digital advertising, whether from an agency, brand, media, or technology company.
- Strong creative thinker and storyteller, able to develop ideas that connect emotionally and drive business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including social, display, video, retail media, and performance marketing.
- Excellent communicator who builds trust across teams, clients, and markets, and can simplify complex ideas for different audiences.
- Comfortable working directly with clients, presenting to senior stakeholders, and influencing decisions with confidence and clarity.
- Combine creative instinct with data and insights, using analytics, testing, and performance signals to inform your recommendations.
- Curious, adaptable, and excited by the future of advertising, with a genuine interest in AI and emerging technologies.
Nice to Have
- German language skills.
- Experience working on large or complex accounts.
- Familiarity with retail media, commerce media, or shoppable content formats.
