Job ID: r20728
What You'll Do:
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own Retail Media relevancy and the next generation of Sponsored Products monetization as shopping moves from static search grids to more intent‑driven and conversational experiences.
You will be responsible for making sure our ads are highly relevant, trusted by shoppers and retailers, and ready to surface in AI‑driven discovery experiences (natural‑language search, onsite assistants), while protecting and growing our Retail Media revenue.
Your missions:
Lead Sponsored Products relevancy
Define the vision and roadmap for how we decide which products to show, and in what order, across Retail Media search and browse experiences.
Balance relevancy, revenue, and user experience when making product decisions.
Align paid ads with retailer organic experiences to ensure overall relevancy consistency. Define what “good” looks like then experiment directly with interested clients and iterate.
Work with data science and engineering to improve our matching logic, and to monitor performance over time.
Enable monetization of new discovery and AI experiences
Define how Sponsored Products should appear in new discovery surfaces (e.g., natural‑language search, onsite assistants), with a focus on trust, clarity and utility.
Clarify where monetization is appropriate, and what safeguards are needed so ads feel native and non‑disruptive.
Work across Product, R&D, GTM and Legal to bring early pilots to market and turn learnings into a scalable roadmap.
Be the single point of contact for Retail Media relevancy
Act as the go‑to PM for relevancy questions and escalations from commercial and retailer teams.
Maintain clear, concise documentation (strategy one‑pagers, PRDs, decision logs) that makes the scope easy to understand for internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate progress, trade‑offs and impact in a way that is honest, data‑driven and easy to follow.
What success looks like:
Higher CTR and revenue for Sponsored Products tied to relevancy improvements.
Fewer and less severe relevancy escalations from key retailers.
Successful launch and iteration of Sponsored Products in at least one new discovery or AI‑driven surface, with a clear path to scale.
Strong feedback from partners (R&D, PAX, GTM, retailers) on clarity of direction and quality of decisions.
Who You Are:
5 to 8+ years in Product Management, ideally on search, recommendations, ads, or other ML‑powered products.
Background in ad tech, ecommerce, marketplaces or Retail Media is a strong plus.
Proven track record owning complex, technical product areas end‑to‑end.
Comfortable working with data, experiments and metrics to drive decisions.
Able to translate ambiguous, technical topics into clear problem statements and simple narratives.
Strong cross‑functional collaborator; you know how to work with engineering, data, design, sales and clients.
Calm, structured and pragmatic when dealing with high‑visibility issues.
If you want to define what “relevant” means for the next generation of Retail Media, we’d love to hear from you!
We acknowledge that many candidates may not meet every single role requirement listed above. If your experience looks a little different from our requirements but you believe that you can still bring value to the role, we’d love to see your application!
