What You'll Do:
The People Relations Advisor is a permanent role and an important position within the India People Team. The role supports employee relations and compliance topics in close partnership with People Business Partners, managers, and other People stakeholders in India and APAC.
Employee Relations Case Support
Manage day-to-day employee relations matters, including gathering facts, documenting issues, and supporting case resolution in partnership with People Buisiness Partners or more senior People stakeholders where needed.
Support disciplinary and grievance processes by helping managers follow the appropriate process and documentation requirements.
Guide managers on employee relations topics in a pragmatic, compliant, and culturally appropriate way for India.
Conduct initial review and fact-finding on employee relations matters, summarize findings, and escalate complex or high-risk topics as appropriate.
Collaborate closely with local and APAC-based People Business Partners, as well as managers based in India.
Apply a practical, solutions-oriented approach to people relations topics, using sound knowledge of local practices in India.
Partner actively with the wider People Team to ensure timely and consistent support.
Support APAC People Business Partners and other global People stakeholders on India-specific compliance or employee relations matters as needed.
Compliance and Policy Support
Coordinate with People Business Partners and Centers of Expertise such as Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, People Operations, and Talent Acquisition to help adapt global People processes for India in line with local regulations.
Support the drafting, updating, and rollout of local policies and related processes required to meet legislative or business needs in India.
Provide guidance to People Operations when questions arise relating to India regulations, local practices, or policy interpretation.
Monitor relevant labor law and market developments in India and share updates with the People Team.
Collect information on market practices in India, including industry and competitor trends, to help inform internal recommendations.
Support communication and coordination with external counsel or authorities on employee relations and compliance matters when required.
Who You Are:
Strong Human Resources experience of minimum 3-4 years with exposure to employee relations and compliance topics.
Ability to manage employee relations matters independently for standard cases, with appropriate judgment on when to escalate more complex issues.
Experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment while balancing compliance, risk, and business needs.
Good knowledge of India labor law frameworks and local market practices, with a practical and business-oriented mindset.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to influence others using logic, sound judgment, and policy knowledge.
Strong collaboration skills across People Business Partners, People Operations, Compensation and Benefits, Payroll teams and business stakeholders.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
University degree, degree in Human Resources or Labor Law is a plus.
