What You'll Do:
About the Role
Criteo is a global commerce media company, enabling marketers and media owners to deliver richer consumer experiences and drive better commerce outcomes through our industry-leading Commerce Media Platform. Retail Media is one of our fastest-growing businesses, and measurement is central to how we earn advertiser trust and grow alongside our clients.
As advertisers raise the bar from correlation to causation, credible and transparent measurement has become one of the most important ways a commerce media platform demonstrates its value. A key part of Criteo’s strength is our ability to show a brand’s performance across more than 200 retailers — a perspective that is difficult to find anywhere else.
As VP, Retail Media Measurement & Insights, you will set the vision for how Criteo measures Retail Media performance and turns that measurement into insight that strengthens client relationships and drives growth. This is a leadership role centered on measurement standards, client-facing insight strategy, and commercial enablement.
You will lead the Insights Partners team and partner closely with Product (which owns the measurement and insights roadmap and platform delivery), along with Commercial (which owns the client relationship), to bring industry-leading measurement and insights to market.
What You’ll Do
Lead client-facing measurement and insights
- Lead and develop the Insights Partners team as Criteo’s senior, client-facing measurement and insights experts, engaging brands, agencies, and retailers in strategic measurement conversations.
- Serve as a credible external voice for Criteo’s measurement approach and methodologies with senior client and industry audiences.
- Translate measurement into client value — building advertiser confidence and supporting renewals, growth, retailer partnerships, and agency engagement — while Account Strategists continue to own day-to-day campaign strategy, insights, and execution.
Define measurement standards and framework
- Define, champion, and continuously evolve Retail Media’s common measurement framework across the areas advertisers care about most — attribution, competitive position, incrementality, customer health, and brand health — aligned to standards that brands and agencies trust.
- Set the measurement standards that Criteo’s Retail Media analytics, reporting, and in-platform insights align to — for example, the accepted methodology for incrementality testing, common definitions for metrics such as incremental sales and iROAS, agreed attribution windows, and the criteria a metric must meet to be considered validated and client-ready.
Enable commercial teams
- Equip Commercial teams with the narrative, proof points, and frameworks to bring Criteo’s measurement and insights story to market consistently, including our differentiated cross-retailer perspective.
- Support pipeline, renewals, and growth through a clear, repeatable measurement story and senior client engagement where it matters most.
Shape build-versus-partner and validation strategy
- Provide market and client inputs to Product’s build-versus-partner decisions — identifying unmet needs, assessing potential partner capabilities, and validating where partnerships could complement Criteo’s product roadmap.
- Lead Criteo’s validation approach so measurement is independently credible — accredited where required, validated by neutral partners where trust demands it, and compatible with the tools clients prefer to use.
- Position Criteo as a trusted commerce-media input to the marketing mix models that brands and agencies already run, and pursue partnerships for brand lift, clean-room collaboration, and identity and LTV enrichment.
- Identify and develop external measurement and data partnerships, working alongside Criteo’s Corporate Development and Partnerships teams, as the measurement subject-matter authority.
Lead with a global perspective
- Bring a global lens across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, recognizing that advertiser expectations, competitive dynamics, and privacy requirements differ by region, and tailoring standards and client engagement accordingly.
Champion trusted data practices
- Establish clear principles for how data is used within Retail Media, including data rights and trust standards, with privacy-safe data collaboration as a foundation.
- Bring fluency in global privacy requirements and translate them into what measurement is possible in each region.
Represent Retail Media across the company
- Represent Retail Media’s measurement and insights perspective in broader company initiatives, helping define where alignment across the business creates advertiser value.
Who You Are:
- A senior leader with 15+ years of experience who has owned measurement and insights strategy at scale in retail or commerce media, ad platforms, or a measurement or data provider. Agency experience is highly preferred.
- Deep, current expertise in commerce-media measurement — incrementality (holdout, in-auction/ghost-bidding, page lift), attribution, marketing mix modeling, brand lift, and clean rooms — with a strong grasp of the trust-and-validation landscape, such as MRC accreditation, neutral incrementality providers, and IAB standards.
- Proven experience leading senior, client-facing consultative teams and turning measurements into commercial outcomes such as renewals, growth, and advertiser confidence.
- Skilled at collaborating across Product, Commercial, Account Strategy, Analytics, Legal, and Privacy — setting direction and standards while partnering effectively without owning execution.
- A track record of driving cross-functional alignment and shaping company-level decisions.
- Experienced in navigating both retailer and advertiser dynamics.
- Globally fluent across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, including GDPR and regional privacy requirements.
- Experienced with data governance and related processes.
- A credible external representative for Criteo — comfortable engaging senior agency and brand audiences and speaking at industry forums — with a track record of building external measurement and data partnerships.
We acknowledge that many candidates may not meet every single role requirement listed above. If your experience looks a little different from our requirements but you believe that you can still bring value to the role, we’d love to see your application!
